I have for you two options:
1) Try to check your firewall settings, it can block your conection.Also, you may have problems with DNS.
2) IP for SMTP/POP/IMAP for Gmail may differ from mine.
Try ping Gmail via cmd.exe. This will allow you to check the IP address for SMTP/POP/IMAP (see attachment)
