How acurate is the collected data

I've been doing some analysis of the information collected by the server DPI agent and i have a question about the collection rate. I have the server agent installed on our main poller with the syslog application deployed the chart is displaying 3 transactions/min which seems a little low as if i analyze the number of rows in the syslog table the average transactions/min is probably something like 500 per/min
