Has anyone gotten Hotfix 3 installed correctly?
Works for us on a production system, thus far.
Not sure if this matters for you but support told us of an error in the installation instructions (corrected since):
The hotfix was already released by our development team, please download on below link:
https://downloads.solarwinds.com/solarwinds/Release/HotFix/OrionPlatform-2015.1-HotFix3.zip
Just follow the instructions on the readme.txt. Also, there is minor mistake in this file of how to apply Hotfix3 that when followed leads to SWIS v2 crashing. Please take note of this:
In the section where it lists the file paths that need to be updated:
This
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\SolarWinds\InformationService\SolarWinds.InformationService.Core.dll
should be
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\SolarWinds\InformationService\v3\SolarWinds.InformationService.Core.dll
