I would like the spread the word about KiWi Syslog Server. I just purchased this software over a week ago and I love it. It is a small installation that I point all my Network equipment to to log Syslog messages. Not that complicated at all, very easy interface to use and interact with. Now I have a view of everything that is going on in my logs. I am able to sort on specific logs, create filters to identify certain devices and alarm types. This is not one of those complicated over priced software with features you do not need. If you are looking for a simple installation, small software foot print, and only the features you need from a Syslog Server, then this is the one for you.
- What was life like before using SolarWinds? (Include what you were using and why you decided it was time for a change) I did not have a syslog server. All I had is what came with NPM/NTA which did not give me the full capabilties of a Syslog Server.

- Did you consider other options, and why did you choose SolarWinds? Yes. I looked at other Manufacturers and their software was way to complicated with way to many options that I do not need.
- How has life been since you've rolled out SolarWinds in your environment? Life has been great. Got a great web interface that gives me the exact information that I need. I get alerts based on certain criteria that I specify to my e-mail.
